Lavender promotes sleep

The lavender plant origins are in Europe, Africa and Asia.

Its intense, pleasant and intoxicating scent helps you sleep: in fact, it stimulates relaxation, reducing stress, anxiety and insomnia. In addition, it has a balsamic effect on the respiratory tract.

Since ancient times, lavender has been stored in bags or sprinkled on cushions to prepare the environment for a night’s rest.

In particular, during the Elizabethan period, the ladies sewed small bags with lavender inside in their skirts. This gesture recalls the habit of our grandmothers to have it in the linen drawer, not only to make it fragrant, but also to ward off moths.
